PRESS RELEASE

The Macon County Board of Commissioners at a called meeting Wednesday afternoon, August 10, 2011, voted four (4) to one (1) to approve the attached redistricting map. The County Commissioners and School Board members will run for election/re-election from those five districts.

An advertisement will be in the legal organ the week of August 14^th. The Commission also will request local legislation to approve the districts at the Special Session of the General Assembly scheduled to start Monday, August 15, 2011.
